  ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Nature, Culture and Wonder of Canada's Northern Sky
 

The Legendary Sky Project will collect and preserve northern sky knowledge and heritage to ensure students in northern Canada have educational tools and online resources that will help them develop a lifelong connection to the sky above their communities.

Key project activities, including curriculum development and the creation of The Legendary Sky Online Resource Centre, will leave a legacy of education and awareness to benefit students in the North and across Canada for generations to come.

The Legendary Sky Diamond has arrived in the Northwest Territories! This unique stone is one of a series of educational treasures that will be unveiled at the opening of The Legendary Sky Exhibit on June 24, 2010 at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre in Yellowknife.
